Lisa M. Hooper is a Professor in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology, Counseling, and College Student Personnel, at the University of Louisville. She is a family systems scholar who has both clinical and research experience with underrepresented and underserved racially and ethnically diverse populations. Dr. Hooper also serves as the principal investigator for  project ACTS, a study directed towards better understanding minority health and mental health care disparities, including cultural competency. Prior to coming to the University of Louisville in 2014, Dr. Hooper was on the faculty at Georgetown University School of Medicine and The University of Alabama.
